Professor Garg occupies a Personal Chair in Clinical & Experimental Nutrition and is the Director of the Nutraceuticals Research Program at the University of Newcastle. He has published over 250 publications with a current H-index of 46 (Scopus). He is the Past President of the Nutrition Society of Australia, Editor-in-Chief for the Journal of Nutrition & Intermediary Metabolism and Associate Editor for Progress in Lipid Research and Journal of the Science of Food & Agriculture. He is recognised as a Fellow of the Nutrition Society of Australia and also awarded the NSA Medal. He is also the recipient of the Excellence in Research Innovation Award in recognition of his research on nutraceuticals.
